On 3 - 5 August 2009, APPEA will again host its highly successful HSR forum and safety conference in Perth, Western Australia where everyone involved in the workplace, from CEOs and leaders, to industry professionals, safety and health experts, regulators and the workforce come together to talk about how to make improvements to the oil and gas industry's safety and health performance.
This year the conference will focus on what we all need to do to ensure everyone, from senior management to the workforce, leads for safety and has the necessary skills to make improvements to safety performance in tough economic times.
In 2009, APPEA’s National Oil and Gas Safety Conference ‘Skilled for Safety’ will again bring together a mix of international, national and local speakers in a program aimed at sharing experiences and innovative solutions, and enhancing the safety skills of our industry.
The Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) Forum (Day 1 - Monday 3 August) provides a unique opportunity for HSRs to network, develop their skills, and share their own safety experiences, solutions and best practice. This day promises to assist the HSRs to perform their role within the safety case regime, effectively achieving health and safety outcomes in the workplace.
The National Oil and Gas Safety Conference (Day 2 - Tuesday 4 August and Day 3 - Wednesday 5 August) will focus on what we all need to do to ensure that everyone, from senior management to the workforce, leads for safety and has the necessary skills to make improvements to safety performance.
